"A little bit of light dispels a lot of darkness. Never let the darkness overwhelm you; you bring the light." – The Rebbe

As we gather under the glow of Chanukah lights, I'm reminded of the profound wisdom captured in the festival of miracles – a reminder that even a small flame can dispel an immense darkness. In the spirit of this festival and the enduring light within each of us, let's reflect on the journey we've crossed and the hope that guides us forward.

These past few months have been challenging, marked by the shadows of war and the winds of change sweeping through Israel. In these trying times, it is crucial to rekindle our collective spirit, to illuminate the path ahead, and to embrace the light that dispels the darkness.

Despite the challenges, we are moving forward with renewed vigor. We have reignited our podcast, resumed our newsletter, and are finding our rhythm once again. It is through these outlets that we hope to share stories of resilience, renewal, and the determined human spirit.

This month's interview is a special one, featuring my wife, Yehudis. She exemplifies the essence of GCI's role in activism – jumping in where most needed. Her dedication to ensuring soldiers have a memorable and delicious Shabbat experience, regardless of their location, is a testament to the impact we can make when we get involved where we are needed most. Her program has made a significant difference, and I invite those inspired to contribute to do so here.

While I couldn't join the recent global conference due to the ongoing situation, I've heard it was a great event. We are officially moving our first cohort start date to November 5th, 2024, with the second cohort set for May 2025. A heartfelt thank you to Alon Badihi and the entire team for the progress with the construction work. We've even received the permit for our second building, marking a significant milestone.

As we kindle the Chanukah lights, let's reflect on the power of miracles and the symbolism of a small flame dispelling darkness. In these moments, let us be the light wherever there is darkness, allowing goodness and love to prevail over evil and hate. Our prayers extend to the soldiers, and we hope for the safe return of all hostages to their families. To those dealing with antisemitism globally, stay strong, for we are one people, and together, light will prevail.

In the spirit of miracles and unity, I send you and your loved ones blessings of success, good health, and a hopeful future.

May the lights of Chanukah continue to guide us toward a brighter tomorrow.

L'chaim!
